No Respecter of Persons
Read: Acts 10: 34-43
No Respecter of Persons
"Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I persceive that God is no respecter of persons" (Acts 10:34).
I will never run the Boston marathon, sing an aria at the Met, or win a million bucks playing the lottery. It is unlikely that I will ever reign supreme as a CEO of a grandiose business, or win first place racing in a NASCAR event. I will never be a Queen or one of those beautiful, stick-thin models. I probably won't own a Porsche or bump shoulders with the richest man in the world. My name isn't Oprah, Bill Gates, Queen Elizabeth, Donald Trump, or George Bush. The Beautiful truth of all this is -- that's okay.
I can strive for worldly acceptance and recognition or I can give God everything I've got where I am planted today. You see, I am an average woman, with the average family, living in an average house, with average children, trying to touch the lives of average people.
There is satisfaction in who I am when I realize that in God's eyes I am a V.I.P. I am His child and He loves me. When I stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ I won't be judged by how spectacular my accomplishments, but by how faithful I was to my calling. God is no respecter of persons. He doesn't see money flashing before His eyes, but the intents of the heart.
Today's Hot Flash: I don't have to be somebody in this world to be a V.I.P. in God's eyes. He loves me, He created me, and nothing can take that away.
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for loving me, for accepting me without the frills of popularity and wealth. I am overwhelmed with gratitude that my social status makes no difference to you. You love me in spite of me. May I be faithful to You where You have planted me. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
